UAE Deep Cleaning Operation In Case on COVID-19
The pandemic has shaken the world and is still spreading its devastation across various countries. UAE who has been the part of the early wave of COVID=19 has recently received an increase in its patient count. On March 11th, 2020, 11 new cases were filed and the number goes to 85. With death rates increasing the UAE government was forced to take some serious precautionary measures like the country-wide lockdown where offices and schools were all shutdowns. Employees were asked to work from home and to stay inside their houses for weeks. Not even kids were allowed to cycle around the streets. There has been a drop-dead silence on the roads of the ever-happening city Dubai and all of it just to get rid of the deadly Coronavirus. However, recently the government began to take measures that can prevent the spread of the virus.
Health Sector
Hospitals and all the health organizations were equipped with the necessary masks and gears needed to prevent infections and kits were provided in bulk amount to treat the patients. Each hospital is backed with a number of ventilators to facilitate the staff and all the important hygienic measures are taking care of.
The Coronavirus Deep Cleaning Drive
On March 20, the spokesperson from the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention, Dr Farida Al-Hosani announced the deep cleaning program of UAE’s streets, roads, parks and marketplaces. For which the authorities have strictly instructed the residents and workers to stay inside their home. The time allotted for the cleaning program to begin was from 8 pm until 6 am for the upcoming three days, which are going to end on Sunday evening. This three days long massive program will desensitize the streets with sprays and clean the roads with huge pumps and sprinklers. A pre-operational notice was aired on all television broadcasts and newspapers to guide the residents about buying all the necessary items and food to get completely locked down for the next three days. The mass deep cleaning program was established with the determination to keep the environment safe from the virus and to put an end to the outbreak as much as it is possible.
Measures To Protect The Workers
On the disinfection mission which was first started at the Al Rigga street in Dubai made sure that every single worker stays well protected and safe from getting affected in any way. Jumpsuits were provided to them along with scores and protective gears that kept the municipalizing workers safe. Car parking, streets, kerbs and all the public places were sprayed. The prominent places included in the mission were AL Nahda, Abu Hail, Baniyas, Naid, and AL Rigga. Dedicated teams were deployed to every area and were given strict instructions not to leave a single spot uncovered.
Disinfection And Sanitization At Schools
Even before the lockdown schools were instructed to practice important hygienic measures to ensure the kid’s health. The authorities were informed to clean the surfaces of each table and chairs along with keeping the objects and all practice material sterilize. MarthinusNeethling, Abu Dhabi’s head of operations at Raha International School stated that “We have also been directed to clean all surfaces, frequently touched surfaces, and floors with a bleach solution.” He further stated, “and that they are disinfected four times per day using an approved disinfectant’.
Additional Precautionary Measures
The UAE government issued notices to all private and local companies to get their employees tested and to reduce their working hours. If they are asked to work from their offices then measures should be taken like distribution of mask and sanitizers to ensure their health safety.
